Communication plans, policies, and procedures were accessed, communications equipment was tested, and the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was activated.

November 2016 The Ripley County Community Foundation has awarded a grant of $3395.00 to Ripley County Emergency Management Agency for the purpose of programming local Law Enforcement 800 MHz radios.

August 20, 2014 (SRO) Student Resource Officer Jeff Thielking (South Ripley), SRO Brent Casebolt (JAC-CEN-DEL) and Ripley County EMA Director J. Patrick Rose participated in the Virtual Tabletop Exercise (School Hostage Focus) conducted at the Regional Operations Center. The exercise was facilitated by the Emergency Management Institute, Maryland and involved multiple emergency operations centers from eight different states.

Ripley County LEPC representatives from Ripley County Sheriff Dept., Ripley County EMA & Ripley Co. Health Dept. along with Ripley MRC & Southeastern Career Center HOSA students attended the 20th Annual Ag Day on 10/2/2013 @ the Ripley County Fairgrounds. Third graders from all the schools in the county were invited to participate in the day long field trip that teaches them first hand important issues from ATV safety, importance of agriculture & personal Preparedness Tips including how to Shelter-In-Place. Ripley County FFA chapters from local schools sponsor this event.
