Classes and Support

Each county in the Southeastern Indiana FIMR offers free classes for car seat safety and safe sleep, and other local support.

• The Dearborn County Health Department offers a Safe Sleep Class with a free pack-n-play and sleep sack on completion. Education includes BREATHE training and Preeclampsia overview. Call: 812-532-3276 or email [email protected] to schedule. See Flyer
• The Dearborn County Health Department offers an online support group for new and expectant mothers. See Flyer
• The Dearborn County Fire Department has car seat technicians to assist with installation.
• Pregnancy Center in Lawrenceburg is religion-based and offers multiple classes. Call: 812-537-4357.

• The Jefferson County Health Department has a car seat technician on site that can assist with car seat installation Call 812-273-1942.
• Norton Kings Daughters offers Safe Sleep education but must be a NKDH patient.
• Life Choices Clinic in Madison offers Safe Sleep Classes. Call 812-273-0400 to schedule.
• Infants in Bloom provides Safe Sleep Education to their patients. Call 812-599-6620.

• The Ripley County Health Department Maternal and Child Health Coordinator offers a “Pregnancy to Postpartum” class that covers safe sleep and more. Completion of this class earns a free pack-n-play and Sleep Sack. Call: 812-689-5751 option 6.
